Our patient-centered approach is led by a multidisciplinary team of licensed healthcare professionals. With our main office located in Midtown Toronto and assessment offices in Oakville, Brampton, Downtown Toronto, Vaughan, Mississauga, Waterloo, Barrie, Scarborough, Hamilton and Ottawa. We are seeking a dedicated Clinic Intake Coordinator to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals seeking hands-on experience in the field of clinical psychology as they pursue future graduate studies.
Position Details: • Position Type: Part-Time (2-3 days a week), Minimum 12-month commitment, potential for growth • Location: Downtown Toronto (Yonge and Bloor, In-person role) • Working Hours: Typically 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Sunday to Friday (Closed on Saturdays) • Compensation: Competitive pay
Responsibilities: • Conduct in-depth intake interviews with prospective clients via phone, collecting essential personal information and explaining the assessment process and expectations. • Demonstrate sensitivity and discretion when discussing personal and potentially sensitive information with clients, especially regarding symptoms and their impact on the client’s life. • Adhere to strict confidentiality standards as outlined by the Personal Health Information Protection Act. • Manage referrals to and from other clinics and practitioners. • Assist with general administrative tasks, including phone calls, email inquiries, and escalating matters as needed. • Proactively identify, investigate, and correct administrative errors. • Communicate promptly with current patients and potential clients. • Interact with clients visiting the clinic, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment by providing information and assistance. Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field, with a keen interest in pursuing a career in clinical psychology. • Strong understanding of patient confidentiality requirements within healthcare, particularly in managing medical records. • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and discreetly with individuals across the neurodiversity spectrum. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). • Detail-oriented with exceptional time management skills. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Adeptness in maintaining a high level of professionalism and empathy in challenging situations. • Previous experience in healthcare administration or related roles is a plus. • Current enrolment in a Master’s program in Psychology (MA or MSc) is strongly preferred.
