As the global leader in services that improve the Quality of Life, we operate in 55 countries, serving over 100 million consumers each day through our unique combination of On-Site Food and FM Services, Benefits & Rewards Services and Personal & Home Services.Job DescriptionSupervise staff and overall operations of the dietary department ensuring workflows are efficient and all standards are met including Public Health and Long Term CareProvide direct supervision in the dining room during meal service daily in order to monitor processes and resident satisfactionManage staffing functions including training, education and development of front line and supervisory employeesProvide coaching, performance management and discipline as requiredSchedule, hire and determine appropriate staffing levels to maintain level of service and efficiency according to the collective agreement, labour management and Ministry of Health and LTC standardsPerform inventory and reporting functions to Director, Ministry and other stakeholdersParticipate in maintenance and submissions of reports and records as required for Ministry or other stakeholdersPlan, execute and maintain annual fiscal budgetary expectationsCoordinate dietary activities with other departments within the facility in order to create efficiencies, reduce costs, maintaining budgetary requirements etc.Prepare cyclical menu plans adhering to necessary guidelines and standards keeping in mind inputs of clients and residents through attendance at resident food committee meetingsMaintain residents nutritional care plan when applicableQualificationsWhat You’ll Need to Succeed:  Successful completion of the Food and Nutrition Management Program from a recognized institutionCanadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) and Advance Food Safety Certification requiredMinimum 5 years of experience in food service management4 years supervisory or leadership experienceStrong communication skills and interpersonal skillsPrior experience managing in a unionized environment, preferably within long term careAdditional InformationWhat Makes Sodexo Different:   Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater because we believe our everyday actions have a big impact.
