Role Description The Early Childhood Educator is a full-time, on-site position based in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. In this role, the educator plans and delivers age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Daily responsibilities include supervising children, maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom environment, supporting positive behavior, and assisting with routines such as meals, rest time, and transitions. The educator communicates regularly with families about children’s progress, collaborates with colleagues on program improvements, and ensures adherence to licensing standards and daycare policies. Qualifications Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Knowledge of early childhood development and experience working with children in group settings. Creativity skills for designing engaging, play-based learning activities and classroom experiences. Organization skills for managing schedules, classroom materials, documentation, and daily routines. Relevant early childhood education certification or diploma, or progress toward such credentials. Understanding of child safety, health, and hygiene practices, including emergency procedures. Ability to maintain a calm, patient, and inclusive approach in a fast-paced childcare environment. CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain, and compliance with local childcare regulations.
