About the role:

The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)

is the provision of care that is respectful of, and responsive to individual patient/family preferences, needs, and values

and ensures that those values guide all decisions. Creating a caring environment for patients and families ensures

continuity of care and fosters a learning environment. Applicants are required to have a demonstrated knowledge,

understanding and commitment to this care philosophy.

Reporting to the Manager ‑ NICU and Maternity Centre, the Clinic Assistant is responsible for providing assistance to

obstetricians and family physicians during prenatal clinics at the Maternity Centre. Additional responsibilities will

include general assistance to the Maternity Centre on an as needed basis.

Qualifications:

* Medical Office Administration Program or equivalent required

* Knowledge and experience of Meditech, MYLE and Novari, preferred

* Committed to Patient and Family Centered Care

* Recent experience in an obstetrical office setting required

* CPR certification preferred

* Ability to provide prenatal education

* Ability to multitask and work independently

* Excellent organization skills

* Excellent customer service/communication skills

Salary Range: $28.208 to 28.879
