We promote a positive and supportive workplace focused on growth, teamwork and the care for our employees and are seeking a full-time Shuttle Driver for our Keskorie Boarding Home.
What You Will Do
Under the supervision and direction of the General Manager, the Shuttle Driver is a key team member of the Keskorie Boarding Home who will be instrumental in providing a warm welcome ensuring seamless transitions for our guests. The hours of work are eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days a week, including any statutory holidays which falls on a weekday compensated at a rate of 1.5 times the regular rate.
A Day In The Life
- Welcoming new clients / patients
- Drive safely and obey all traffic laws to ensure patients are transported in a safe and timely manner
- Perform walk-around inspection of vehicle each shift (before start and end of shift)
- Complete Incident Report when required
- Complete Daily Pre-Shift Vehicle Inspection Checklist
- Communicating with Reception on pickups, drop offs and deliveries of patients’ prescriptions
- Assist with client’s luggage when required
What You Bring
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent experience
- Ability to speak an Aboriginal language and knowledge of culture are definite assets
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated and trustworthy
- Standard First Aid w/CPR, AED
- Ability to follow company processes, policies and procedures
Job Requirements
- Class 4 Drivers License and clean Drivers Abstract
- Ability to lift 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Updated Immunization Record
- Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
