Role Description The Medical Doctor role is a full-time, on-site position based at Albany Medical Clinic’s practice in Edmonton, AB. The physician will provide direct patient care, including conducting examinations, diagnosing conditions, ordering and interpreting tests, and developing evidence-based treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include managing patient follow-up, maintaining accurate medical records, coordinating care with nursing and allied health staff, and ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements. The Medical Doctor will also provide preventive care and patient education, participate in case discussions, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the clinic. Qualifications Valid medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution and completion of an approved residency program. Current licensure, or eligibility for licensure, to practice medicine in Alberta, and good standing with relevant medical regulatory authorities. Demonstrated clinical competence in primary care or relevant specialty, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and preventive care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse patient populations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to maintain thorough, accurate, and timely medical documentation and use electronic medical record systems effectively. Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, continuous learning, and adherence to evidence-based guidelines.
