About the Team The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety provides supervision and rehabilitation services for adult and young offenders; promotes appropriate and effective policing; and supports community and public safety services throughout Saskatchewan.
ABOUT THE JOB The Opportunity: As the Charge Nurse at Pine Grove Correctional Centre, you will play a front-line leadership role within the Health Services team, reporting to the Nurse Manager. You will be responsible to provide leadership and to coordinate the operation of nursing services, ensuring that care is safe, efficient, high-quality, and aligned with provincial standards and direction.
Responsibilities Leads and coordinates nursing services, ensuring efficient client care and operational delivery. Supervises, mentors, and supports nursing staff (RNs, RPNs, LPNs) to maintain high standards of practice. Conducts assessments, develop care plans, deliver direct care, and monitor client progress, including emergency response. Maintains accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Foster professional relationships across teams and agencies, resolving conflicts and promoting collaboration. Communicates information clearly and appropriately, both verbally and in writing. Organizes, prioritizes, and delegates workload effectively in a dynamic environment. Identifies and mitigates safety risks to clients, staff, and self. Participates in staff meetings and carries out duties as assigned by the nurse manager.

Other Qualifications and Requirements: Licenses, Certifications or Designations Actively registered (eligible for registration) with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) or the Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRPNS). Hold valid Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider certification, recognized by your respective licensing body.
Other Conditions of Employment Hours of work are currently Monday to Friday day shift; however, as we operationalize this role the hours of work may change to shift work, including day/evening/night shifts.
