1.0 Permanent Psychologist
Effective September 2, 2026
This position reports to the Principal of Special Education; working as part of a central team, supporting student success in all regions of the NNDSB. The Psychologist will conduct psychoeducational assessments and consult with members of a student's school team to detemine appropriate supports, strategies and interventions.
Qualifications
Registered as either a Psychologist or Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysis of Ontario (CPBAO) Either be registered for autonomous practice with CPBAO or be registered for supervised practice with CPBAO in one’s authorized supervised year and actively working towards autonomous registration Declared competence in the area of School Psychology is required. Competence in Clinical Psychology may be considered if required knowledge, skills, and experience for practicing school psychology can be demonstrated
Skills/Knowledge Required
Demonstrated experience undertaking psychological assessments of referred students Demonstrated experience consulting and collaborating with school teams, including pre-referral meetings, participating in case conferences and providing professional development Ability to assist in the development of intervention plans and programs for students in collaboration with educational personnel Compliance with CPBAO's Standards of Practice Excellent time management, organizational and oral communication skills Previous experience in a school psychology setting is an asset
Additional Requirements
Psychologists/Psychological Associates, registered with CPBAO for autonomous practice, may be required to provide clinical supervision to NNDSB Psychologists/Psychological Associates (who are registered for supervised practice) and NNDSB Psychoeducational Consultants (non-registered). Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle and a willingness to travel within NNDSB.
Rate of Pay: $101,352.00 to $115,007.00 annually
