Are you a current student or recent graduate working towards obtaining your Registered Pharmacy Technician status? Our Pharmacy Department is here to assist you in achieving this goal! We are in search of a student or recent graduate to join our team as a Pharmacy Assistant and gain the skills and experiences you need to become a Registered Pharmacy Technician. Over the course of 20 weeks, you will gain hands-on experience in a hospital setting. During this Structured Practical Training you will train and assist in the following:
Medication Reconciliation for Admission Assist in the pharmacy's administrative tasks, including record-keeping and filing Adhere to pharmacy policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations Collaborate with pharmacy team members to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Support pharmacy staff in training programs for new employees Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Supervisor/Registered Pharmacist
Required Education & Certification(s)
Regulated Pharmacy Technician Student or graduate from an Accredited College
Required Skill(s) & Experience(s)
Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred

Additional Information
Location: Multi-Site, working on site at both the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) located in Bracebridge and Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) located in Huntsville. Applicants must reside within 125km of one of our hospital campuses or be willing to relocate prior to starting. *Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Hours of Work: Must be available to work shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements per the collective agreement.
Anticipated Ending: Temporary contract, approximate end date of January 2027.
