Job Title: Personal Support Worker (PSW) Location: GTA, ON Schedule: Casual (with flexible shifts) - No Guaranteed Hours Hourly Rate of Pay: $22.00 - $26.00
Carecor is seeking dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join a dynamic and supportive team across the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding communities.
Under the direction of nursing staff, you will provide essential patient care, including both floor support and observational duties. Your role will help foster an environment that promotes the physical, social, and emotional well-being of patients. Assignments are based within a single facility for the duration of each shift, typically ranging from 8 to 12 hours, allowing for continuity of care and teamwork.
This is a casual position offering flexible scheduling options to suit your availability, with no guaranteed shifts.

Qualifications
Our “exemplary standing” with Accreditation Canada is held to the highest regard and is a testament to the fact that we uphold the same hiring standards and patient care delivery as the facilities in which we serve.

Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate or enrolled in a Nursing pathway program or a Nursing student

CPI Certification required (Crisis Prevention & Intervention Training Certificate) - preferred

Clinical experience as a PSW within the past 2 years or at least 1 year in Hospital/LTC clinical placement completed in nursing program

Experience working in a Mental Health Unit is highly preferred.

Ability to safely lift, transfer, and support clients with weights of up to 50 lbs. or more, in accordance with safe work practices.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and N95 Mast Fit Test Certificate

Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (MMRV), Hepatitis B, and Tdap/Td

Proof of negative TB skin test within the past (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past 5 years

Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
Please note that based on recent government mandates and directives, healthcare workers are now required to provide proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination. If successful, new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date.
