We are presently recruiting for the vacant position of Key Account Manager, Ophthalmology (GTA/North including York, Barrie, Orillia, Sudbury and Durham regions) at Théa Pharma Canada. This position is a full-time, field-based role reporting to the Associate Sales Director, Ophthalmology.

Job Description:
The Key Account Manager will have ownership of the Théa Pharma Canada Ophthalmology business within their Region and will play a key role in the growth and expansion of the Théa Pharma Canada product portfolio within the Ophthalmology community (Glaucoma, Ocular Infections and Dry Eye).
This individual will work closely with all cross-functional partners, to ensure consistent execution of the Marketing plan and that all key sales targets are met. This individual will be responsible to drive engagement, develop relationships within the Ophthalmology community, plan and execute key programs and company initiatives, to ensure growth across all areas of the portfolio.
This individual will be part of a dynamic, entrepreneurial and highly collaborative environment that is dedicated to creating value for our customers, their patients, and the Théa Pharma Canada business.
Responsibilities:
· Building strong relationships with top Glaucoma Specialists, Cornea Specialists and high-volume Comprehensive Ophthalmologists throughout the Region through in person visits, and virtual/phone calls, as well as relationship building opportunities such as company provided dinners, lunches etc. with customers. · Continue to grow and entrench Théa Pharma Canada as a trusted and valued industry partner within the Ophthalmology community. · Support and drive the awareness, trial and adoption of Canada’s first preservative free prostaglandin analogue, Monoprost®, and any new launch products, for the treatment of open-angle glaucoma. · Grow and expand the Dry Eye/Lid Hygiene business by establishing new Ophthalmology retail accounts and enhancing SKU performance in existing accounts · Expand and grow the utilization of Eyezirgan®, for the treatment of herpes simplex keratitis · Develop and execute a strategic Territory Business Plan. · Successful execution of the sales and marketing strategies as described in the Plan of Action. · Effectively manage brand resources/promotional spend to maximize revenue and growth. · Lead KOL Development and Management within the Region to foster partnerships between Théa Pharma Canada and the Ophthalmology Community. · Be a key part of the team that builds and shapes the future growth and expansion of Théa Pharma Canada within the Canadian Eye Care landscape.
Skills & Abilities:
· Ability to build strong relationships & rapport building skills. · Enjoys participating in relationship building opportunities, such as dinners, lunches, conferences, etc. · Proven ability or experience with strategic selling skills focused on finding solutions. · Entrepreneurial has the ability to and enjoys working independently (i.e. from home, on the road, meeting 1-1 with customers) · A self-starter with creative mindset, has the motivation to make multiple connections with customers daily, either through phone or in person. · Enjoys travel, driving daily, and attending in-person meetings (i.e. in clinics, customer offices, or for conferences, etc.) · Strong analytical skills and business acumen with an ability to identify insights and apply those insights to strategic territory & customer planning. · Performance-driven, results-oriented mindset with bias for action. · Ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders/KOLs. · Proven ability to multitask, with great time-management skills. · Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills. · Resourceful self-starter with a proven track-record of top sales performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Equivalent to a four-year University education with emphasis in science and/or business. · A minimum of 3-5 years of Field Sales or Key Account Management experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical/medical device industry. · Previously managed this geography · Flexibility for travel is required (~ 25%). Travel is required, daily in the region, and to Northern Ontario, as well as for occasional conference attendance.
