The Opportunity
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will support the delivery of safe, client-centred care within a collaborative multidisciplinary clinic environment. You will play an important role in client preparation, treatment support, monitoring, and recovery while contributing to a positive, professional, and trauma-informed client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and client documentation prior to appointments
- Complete client intake tasks including consent confirmation, baseline vitals, and review of relevant medical information
- Provide trauma-informed support to clients before, during, and after treatment sessions
- Assist with treatment administration and monitor clients throughout sessions in accordance with scope of practice
- Monitor and document client vitals, responses, and treatment tolerance, escalating concerns appropriately
- Support clients experiencing distress, anxiety, or dissociation during treatment
- Provide post-treatment care, recovery support, and safe discharge planning
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the EMR
- Maintain clinic cleanliness, equipment readiness, and adherence to safety and medication storage protocols
- Collaborate with clinicians, prescribers, and administrative staff to support coordinated client care and service delivery
Qualifications
- Active registration and good standing with the applicable provincial regulatory college/licensing body
- Professional Liability Insurance (if applicable to role)
- Experience supporting client care within a clinical or medical environment
- Experience with IV insertion and/or infusion monitoring is an asset
- Experience supporting ketamine-assisted treatment or mental health services is an asset
- Strong competency in client monitoring, documentation, and clinical communication
- Experience using EMR systems (Jane experience is an asset)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical environment
