We are looking for a 1st or 2nd year Pharmacy Student to our team in our Castledowns location in NW Edmonton. This can be a part time or full time position to work around your schedule.

Store operation hours are Monday to Friday 9 am - 6 pm

Key Responsibilities:

Dispensing & Clinical Support Data Entry: Accurately enter new prescriptions, refills, and medication profile updates into the pharmacy computer system. Preparation: Assist in counting, packaging, labeling, and assembling medications, including compliance/blister packaging for patients. Clinical Checks: Perform initial checks on medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Compounding: Assist with basic non-sterile compounding and repackaging of pharmaceuticals. Patient Care & Communication: Customer Service: Greet patients, answer incoming calls, and field general inquiries while adhering to strict patient confidentiality guidelines (e.g., FOIP/PHIPA). Patient Counselling: Under pharmacist supervision, counsel patients on medications and health aids. Inventory & Operations: Stock Management: Receive inventory, restock shelves, perform cycle and narcotic counts, and process expired medications. Paperwork: File hard-copy prescriptions and prepare associated paperwork for billing and delivery. General Qualifications:

Education: Successful completion of the first (1st) or second (2nd) year of an accredited pharmacy degree program Registration: Active and in-good-standing registration as a student with the Alberta College of Pharmacy. Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and a high degree of accuracy. Familiarity with software like Kroll is a distinct advantage.
