Social Worker - Generalist
Wage: $60,000 - $75,000 Annual Salary, dependent upon experience

*Hours: * Full-Time, with a rotation of one week in the community and one week Prince George (Flexibility required to accommodate member needs, and may include evenings and weekends)

Kwadacha Nation (Tsek?ene) is commonly known as Fort Ware and is located approximately 570 km north of Prince George, at the confluence of the Fox, Kwadacha, and Finlay rivers in the Rocky Mountain Trench. Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Health and Social Services, the Social Worker is responsible for ensuring community members receive tailored support services that address individual and family needs. The Social Worker will deliver both group and one-on-one interventions, as well as connect individuals to resources for employment, mental health, and other areas that strengthen and enrich their lives.
- Offer individuals and families appropriate support or connect them to external services
- Provide crisis intervention and coordinate integrated case management with Kwadacha Health departments (e.g., land-based healing, elders, justice, child & family, mental health and addictions) and partner agencies
- Support families in developing skills and strategies to resolve current challenges and safeguard children
- Conduct assessments and participate in integrated case management meetings as required
- Develop and lead ongoing group therapy programming
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, referrals, and related activities
- Plan, implement, and oversee programs within available funding and in compliance with legislation
- Collaborate with the Elders program to incorporate Kwadacha culture and traditional teachings
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and support groups on relevant topics (e.g., grief and loss)
- Provide updates and consult with supervisor regarding children in care and families at risk
- Utilize funding opportunities to further the department?s success and meet the needs of the Nation
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree required, with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of MCFD protocols in Canadian judicial systems is required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver?s License, clear Driver?s Abstract, and willingness to travel within Kwadacha
