About the role
<p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10pt;">Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Registered Nurse position for the Special Care Unit.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10pt;">The primary location for this position is: <strong>Alexandra Hospital Ingersoll </strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10pt;"><strong>The duration of this temporary contract would be approximately until September 2027, or sooner as determined by RRHS</strong></span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10pt;"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p><ul><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Registered Nurse, currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required.<u></u></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Minimum of 1-year recent critical care nursing experience is required (or completion of SCU internship program).<u></u></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Minimum of 1 year recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred.<u></u></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Current BLS certification is required.</span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Current ACLS certification is required.</span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Completion of a critical care course is preferred.<u></u></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Experience with cardiac monitoring and interpretation, IV insertion, Glucometer testing and BDC medication is required.<u></u></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Excellent Patient Assessment, Intervention and Evaluation skills.<u></u></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.<u></u></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Demonstrated warmth, interest and empathy in interactions with patients.<u></u></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Demonstrated ability to function productively in a very demanding environment.<u></u></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Demonstrated ability to give and receive feedback in an open and constructive manner.<u></u></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Evidence of commitment in self-directed learning as demonstrated by the courses taken.<u></u></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Demonstrated skills in patient teaching.<u></u></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of the team.<u></u></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Ability to demonstrate a commitment to Privacy and Confidentiality.<u></u></span></li><li style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Excellent attendance record and work ethics in previous positions.<u></u></span></li><
