Residential Child & Youth Worker ? Full-Time, Part-Time, Casual

We are hiring compassionate and reliable staff to support youth in a residential care setting. Multiple positions are available, including weekday and weekend shifts.

Salary

$23.00 ? $26.00 per hour (Compensation varies based on qualifications, experience, and shift availability.)

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care, supervision, and support to youth in a residential environment
• Assist with meal preparation and promote healthy nutrition
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive living environment
• Lead and support recreational, educational, and life-skills activities
• Observe, document, and report on youth progress and behaviors
• Work collaboratively with team members to implement individualized care plans
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the residence

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to respond to challenging behaviors with empathy and professionalism
• Strong organizational skills and computer literacy
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Qualifications

Requirements in bold are mandatory:

• Completion of post-secondary education in a related field (Child & Youth Worker, Social Service Worker, Developmental Service Worker, Youth Criminal Justice System studies, or related programs)
• First Aid & CPR Certification
• Valid G Driver?s License
• Vulnerable Sector Clearance
• Board Record Check
• UMAB Certification

Additional Assets:

• Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices
• Experience with MCCSS guidelines and the Child, Youth and Family Services Act
• Trauma-Informed Care training
