About the role
Kawartha Animal Hospital is looking for a temporary full-time Veterinary Technician to join our amazing tech team for approximately 4 months to cover for a maternity leave.
We are a privately owned small animal hospital with 3 veterinarians, providing excellent preventative care for our patients. In-house equipment includes a full array of Idexx analyzers, digital radiographs (both full body and dental), a dedicated dental suite, therapeutic laser, VetSpecs anesthesia monitors, HotDog warming system, etc. We are lucky to have a local emergency nearby so there are no on call after hours. We are a family friendly practice who understands the importance of your family time (and the importance of your lunch break!). As such the clinic does close at 5pm and does not have evening hours with a short day on Saturdays. Techs will rotate on Saturdays ideally working one out of three/four. We close on long weekends to enjoy this time with your friends/family.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are imperative, as is a good sense of humour and the ability to work in a team setting!
If this sounds like the kind of place you?d like to work, please reply to our email. Please note, we are only looking for candidates who have Vet Tech experience or are currently a Vet Tech student. Applicants who do not match these qualifications will not be considered.
