Job Summary Shelburne Physiotherapy Centre is seeking a Physiotherapy Assistant to join our growing and supportive healthcare team. We are a well-established outpatient physiotherapy clinic with a strong referral base and a focus on patient-centered care and collaborative treatment.

The ideal candidate will support physiotherapists in delivering patient-centered care, assist with treatment plans, and ensure smooth clinic operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on improving patient outcomes. The Physiotherapy Assistant will play a vital role in facilitating effective communication between patients and healthcare providers while maintaining organizational efficiency.

Duties

• Assist physiotherapists with patient assessments and treatment sessions, including setting up equipment and preparing treatment areas
• Support patient care activities by providing guidance on exercises and therapy routines under supervision
• Maintain accurate case management records and documentation using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members in multiple languages, including bilingual or multilingual interactions
• Manage scheduling and coordinate appointments to ensure timely delivery of services
• Perform basic mechanical knowledge tasks related to therapy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Assist in administrative and cleaning tasks.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes
• Knowledge of medical terminology, case management, and patient care procedures
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Mechanical knowledge related to therapy equipment is an asset
• Strong analysis skills for assessing patient needs and progress
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities with effective time management skills

Shelburne Physiotherapy Centre provides care to patients from Shelburne and surrounding communities. Our newly renovated clinic features modern treatment rooms and state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment.

Located in the welcoming rural community of Shelburne, Ontario, the clinic is surrounded by outdoor recreation areas and serves as a hub for sports training and rehabilitation.
