About the role

The Opportunity

Northern Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Emergency Department and Primary Care team at Tumbler Ridge Health Centre. This dynamic role involves providing emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced, team-based care environment. In addition, this position offers flexibility and the chance to provide longitudinal primary care to patients of all ages. The NP will attach a patient panel and contribute to a collaborative, culturally safe care environment supported by physicians, other nurse practitioners, primary care assistants, and an interprofessional team.

Virtual specialist consultation services and telemedicine technologies are available to support clinical decision-making and enhance access to expertise. The position offers adaptable scheduling options to support service delivery and work-life balance. Advanced certifications required include ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and CASTED.

Key Responsibilities

Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary emergency department team to provide safe, patient-centered, high-quality care.

Assess and manage patients across CTAS 1–5

Utilize PowerChart or paper-based documentation systems.

Engage with virtual specialist services to support timely, high-quality emergency care delivery.

Deliver longitudinal primary care to a diverse patient population.

Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for documentation and care coordination.

Participate in team-based primary care and contribute to quality improvement initiative

Salary Range

New Graduate NP - $149,382

1 Year Experience - $156,851

2 Years Experience - $164,320
