Nurse Practitioner
This is not a traditional Nurse Practitioner role. This is an opportunity to build a meaningful, patient-centered practice within a fully integrated health clinic. The Holistic Institute of Health & Fertility (HIHF) is one of Calgary’s leading multidisciplinary clinics, with over 20 regulated practitioners across two locations. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner who is drawn to women’s health and wants to build a focused practice in fertility, prenatal and postpartum care, and perimenopause within a collaborative, high-trust environment.
About the Role This position is ideal for a Nurse Practitioner who wants to develop a practice with depth and continuity. You will have the opportunity to build and manage your own patient panel while working alongside a collaborative team that includes: Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Psychology, Osteopathy, and Naturopathic Medicine. This is a setting where care is coordinated, conversations are meaningful, and patients are supported across every stage of their health journey.
Practice Model This is an independent contractor position within an established clinic. You will operate as a primary care provider under Alberta’s Nurse Practitioner framework You will bill Alberta Health directly for insured services HIHF provides the clinical space, administrative infrastructure, and patient flow to support your practice An extremely attractive overhead-based model applies, reflecting the comprehensive support provided by the clinic.
What HIHF Provides Appropriately equipped clinical space at our South Calgary location Dedicated front desk and administrative support, including scheduling and patient communication EMR setup and ongoing support, including alignment with provincial requirements An established patient base aligned with women’s health, fertility, prenatal, and hormonal care Internal referral pathways within a multidisciplinary team A collaborative environment where providers actively support one another’s patients Marketing and visibility within an established and trusted brand
Clinical Focus Areas General primary care within a women’s health context Lab ordering, interpretation, and medication management within scope
Who You Are You are a Nurse Practitioner who: Holds an active licence in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta Has an interest in women’s health across the lifespan Values collaboration and is open to working within an integrative care model Is patient-centered, thoughtful, and grounded in your clinical approach Is interested in building a practice and professional reputation over time Communicates well with patients, colleagues, and external healthcare providers
