Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Group home. Rural area. Nursing home/home for the aged. Tasks: Housekeeping activities. Food preparation. Resolve conflict situations. Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses. Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations and enemas. Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher. Serve meal trays and feed patients. Make beds and maintain patients' rooms. Collect specimens. Bathe, dress and groom patients. Answer call signals to determine patients' needs. Supply and empty bed pans. Weigh, lift, turn and position patients. Administer first aid in emergency situations. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Child Abuse Registry check.
