The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.  Position Overview Under the general of the Supervisor, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of the St. Boniface Hospital (SBH), the Messenger is responsible for : the physical movement (pick-up, loading and/or delivery) or mail, parcels, reports, charts, lab specimens, X-Ray films, pharmaceuticals, medical and other supplies, and other objects to and from all areas of the hospital complex and affiliated buildings; understands and follows Workplace Hazardous Material Information Systems (WHMIS) guidelines; and performing other related duties as assigned. Experience Not Applicable Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

Grade 12, or recognized equivalent.

Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable Qualifications and Skills

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Legible handwriting.
Good telephone manner.
Good interpersonal and communications skills.
