About the role
Our client is an established medical aesthetics practice based in Regina, Saskatchewan, dedicated to delivering high-quality patient outcomes through evidence-informed clinical care and advanced technology. They are seeking a Medical Director to provide medical governance across their clinical services, establish clinical policies, and ensure alignment with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).
This is an excellent clinical leadership opportunity for a licensed physician who has a strong interest in aesthetic medicine and a genuine willingness to learn the industry. While prior background in aesthetics is an asset, our client is focused on finding the right professional match, offering training and support to help the successful candidate get up to speed. The role focuses on maintaining safety standards, managing the delegation of controlled medical procedures to Registered Nurses, and supporting a collaborative team with highly flexible scheduling.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Governance and Oversight Provide overarching medical oversight for clinic procedures and patient care frameworks Review, implement, and maintain written medical directives, delegation agreements, and clinical protocols Establish baseline standards for patient assessment, treatment planning, informed consent, and documentation Review clinical outcomes to support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives Team Collaboration and Delegation Assess, approve, and delegate injectable and advanced cosmetic procedures to qualified Registered Nurses in accordance with provincial guidelines Review and support the ongoing competency development of the nursing and technical team Serve as an accessible clinical resource for the team regarding patient care and safety protocols Support a collaborative, safety-first practice environment across all clinic staff Treatment Protocol Management Maintain oversight for advanced treatment protocols, including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and regenerative therapies Manage safety protocols for laser and energy-based technologies, including multiple modalities of microneedling and specialized skin treatments Ensure clinic readiness regarding emergency intervention protocols, complication management, and medical supply maintenance
What you bring:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree recognized in Canada Unrestricted licensure and independent practice eligibility in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) Active professional liability protection through the CMPA or equivalent coverage Strong interest in aesthetic medicine and a proactive willingness to learn cosmetic procedures, facial anatomy, and modern treatment modalities Clinical background in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, or general practice Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset Commitment to patient safety and proper medical documentation
