About The Opportunity

Reporting to the Program Manager of the Neurology and Spinal Cord Injury department within the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio and working in cooperation with the Recreation Therapist, the Therapeutic Assistant assists in the provision of health, health promotion and therapeutic services to the rehabilitation population. The Therapeutic Assistant will work cooperatively and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team in carrying out the individual’s treatment program and communicating patient-specific information that will enhance the level of knowledge of the treatment team.

About You

Diploma from a two year Recreation or Therapeutic Recreation Program Current CPR certification is required Current St. John Ambulance First Aid course preferred Current certification in Non Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) is an asset Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Knowledge of community resources Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly

Compensation And Benefits

$24.75 - $28.36 Hourly
