Responsibilities

Tasks

Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders May conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods Prescribe medication and treatment Refer patients for surgery Treat diseases and physiological disorders Study the nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases Supervise laboratory activities Act as consultants to other physicians Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures Provide other alternative forms of health care to patients Maintain accurate records Identify childrens' individual learning needs Help clients manage physical illness and disorders Treat diseases, injuries and deformities
