NL Health Services is currently looking for a Nurse Practitioner to provide service throughout the Stephenville Crossing Neighborhood. Please note while this position will be assigned a primary location, the incumbent will be required to travel throughout a designated service area providing Nurse Practitioner services across multiple program areas including but not limited to acute care, emergency/fast track, long term care, primary health care clinics and community based service. Mileage and appropriate per diems will be paid in accordance with the RNUNL Collective agreement. QUALIFICATIONS: Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador, graduation from an approved School of Nursing and successful completion of the Nurse Practitioner Program are required. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate an acceptable level of competency in organizational, leadership, interpersonal, team building, communication, decision making and computer skills through an interview process. The successful candidate should possess considerable clinical experience in the care of the older adult population. Certification with the Canadian Nurses? Association in Gerontological Nursing is preferred. In the event no suitable candidate is found with the above noted qualifications, consideration may be given to applicants who do not currently possess a Nurse Practitioner License, but are qualified to enroll in an approved Master in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner (MN/NP) program. In this case, the successful applicant must be prepared to demonstrate proof of registration/enrollment upon appointment and provide updates based on the progress of each semester of the program.*A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
