Role Description The Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist is a full-time/part time, on-site position based in Port Hope, ON. In this role, the specialist conducts comprehensive hearing assessments to determine appropriate hearing solutions for each patient. Daily responsibilities include fitting, programming, and adjusting hearing instruments, providing counseling and education on device use and maintenance, and ensuring ongoing follow-up care. The specialist also maintains accurate patient records, collaborates with other hearing care professionals as needed, and delivers a high standard of customer service throughout the patient journey.
Qualifications New grads are welcome! Ability to administer and interpret speech and hearing assessments to support treatment. Commitment to excellent customer service and patient-centered care. Relevant certification with CASLPO or AHIP or eligibility, as required by provincial regulations). Effective communication skills, including the ability to explain clinical information in clear, accessible language. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for documentation and follow-up. Comfort working with hearing care technology, including diagnostic equipment and hearing aid programming software. Previous experience in a clinical or hearing care setting is an asset.
