Advise patients on health care. Examine patients and take their medical histories and consult with physicians and other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health. Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures. Conduct patient interviews, physical assessments and take medical histories. Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases. Provide health maintenance education. Prepare a treatment plan for each patient. Work with minimal supervision. Examine patients to assess general physical condition. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CPR Certificate. Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial authority for midwives. Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner by the province/territory of work. Security and safety: Criminal record check.
