Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: $51.102 to $62.500 (5 step range) Job Description: Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalists who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS.

Experience Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset Education Successful completion of a recognized accredited PA educational program Licenses Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a Physician Assistant Certified with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants Competencies Advanced - Communication skills Intermediate - Computer skills Advanced - Interpersonal skills Advanced - Technical skills Intermediate - Mobilizes people, inspires and leads by example Advanced - Analytical skills Knowledge and Abilities Commitment to a diverse, representative workforce and cultural safety Commitment to quality, safety, and improvement striving towards zero harm Ability to work independently Committed to delivering on patient and family centred care Exemplifies ethical practices, professionalism and personal integrity Demonstrated written and spoken competence in English language Ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Other Information Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (PALS) an asset Current ATLS Certification (Advanced Trauma Life Support), is an asset HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria For more information on the city of North Battleford please visit https://www.cityofnb.ca/ Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificate (ACLS) an asset Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement Standby may be required.
