We are hiring an experienced Project Manager 3 to lead complex IT and digital health initiatives for the Province of New Brunswick. The successful candidate will provide end-to-end project leadership, governance, stakeholder management, and delivery oversight while working within the SNB Project Management Framework.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale IT projects, particularly within the public sector digital health environment, with proven expertise in healthcare technology delivery, Agile methodologies, executive stakeholder engagement, risk management, and cross-functional team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery Oversight Provide leadership, governance, and oversight for assigned IT projects to ensure successful execution and delivery. Manage complete project lifecycle activities including: Scope management Schedule management Cost management Resource planning Budget monitoring Implementation planning Transition management Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and delivery schedules. Monitor project progress and proactively address delivery challenges. Ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, timeline, quality, and budget constraints. Risk, Issue & Change Management Establish and manage project risk and issue management processes. Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate impacts to stakeholders. Manage change control activities and assess impacts related to scope, schedule, cost, and resources. Track project dependencies and ensure timely resolution of issues. Provide recommendations and escalation support for critical project concerns. Stakeholder & Executive Management Provide regular project reporting and updates to Department of Health executive leadership. Prepare executive-level briefing materials, status reports, dashboards, and presentations. Lead and participate in Steering Committee meetings. Build strong relationships with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and external stakeholders. Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and recommendations effectively to diverse audiences. Team Leadership & Coordination Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams consisting of: Developers Solution strategists Business subject matter experts Technical resources External partners Coordinate activities across multiple business units and organizations. Establish clear roles, responsibilities, expectations, and delivery objectives. Promote collaboration, accountability, and successful team execution. Digital Health & Public Sector Project Delivery Manage complex digital health initiatives within a provincial healthcare environment. Apply knowledge of healthcare business processes, privacy considerations, and regulatory requirements. Support technology-enabled healthcare transformation initiatives. Manage projects involving public sector stakeholders, healthcare programs, and government environments. Ensure alignment with provincial policies, standards, and governance frameworks. Agile & Project Delivery Methodologies Apply appropriate project management methodologies including Agile approaches such as: Scrum Kanban Hybrid delivery models Facilitate Agile ceremonies and delivery planning activities where required. Use project data, schedules, budgets, and performance metrics to support data-driven decision-making. Continuously improve project delivery practices and processes. Required Skills & Experience
