Position Summary KMBC is seeking an experienced Supervised Instructor Therapist (SIT) to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services to children and youth with ASD under the ongoing supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA). Services may be provided across a variety of settings, including client homes, schools, and community environments. This role is ideal for a motivated, compassionate professional with experience in ABA and a strong commitment to helping clients reach their goals.
Key Responsibilities • Implement individualized ABA programs developed and supervised by the RBA. • Deliver direct 1:1 behavioural therapy to children and youth with ASD. • Collect and record accurate session data in accordance with KMBC’s standards. • Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and ongoing training. • Collaborate professionally with families, educators, and other therapists. • Support skill development across areas such as communication, daily living, play, and social interaction. • Follow ethical and clinical standards as set out by CPBAO, BACB and KMBC policies. • Maintain timely communication with supervisors and administrative staff. • Ensure client safety and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field (e.g., Autism and Behavioural Science, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or equivalent). • Minimum 6 months of experience delivering ABA to children with ASD. • Strong understanding of ABA principles and data collection methods. • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Additional Requirements • Ability to commute to client homes, schools, and community locations. • Valid CPR/First Aid certification (Level C). • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check (dated within the last 6 months). • Proof of Professional Liability Insurance. • Access to a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license (preferred but not required).
