In alignment with RightTime,RightCare:StrengtheningOntario'sMentalHealthandAddictionsSystemsofCareforChildrenandYoung**People and Policy/Program Memorandum 169, the Mental Health Clinical Supervisor provides strong system leadership for the development, implementation, and oversight of the Board's Mental Health Strategy.
This position supports a coordinated and culturally responsive approach to student mental health and well-being by working collaboratively with schools, families, community partners, and provincial networks to ensure accessible, evidence-informed mental health services.
ROLESANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Board's Three-Year Mental Health and Addictions Strategy and annual action plans
- Provide clinical supervision and leadership to Mental Health Workers and Student Well- Being Coaches
- Act as a liaison with provincial mental health initiatives and collaborate with system partners to support alignment with Ministry priorities
- Support schools with mental health promotion, prevention, intervention, and crisis response
- Facilitate professional learning and build system capacity in evidence-informed mental health practices
- Collaborate with community partners to strengthen integrated service pathways and system navigation for students and families
- Monitor and report on program implementation and outcomes to senior administration and the Ministry of Education
- Ensure compliance with PHIPA and the Health Care Consent Act, including oversight of mental health data systems (e.g., EMHWare, Greenspace, OCEAN)
- Promote culturally responsive practices, including an understanding of First Nation, Métis, and Inuit perspectives
- Foster safe, inclusive, and supporting learning environments across all KCDSB schools
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Clinical/School Psychology, or Psychiatry
- Registration in good standing with a regulatory college authorized to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy
- Demonstrated clinical experience across a full continuum of mental health services (promotion, prevention, intervention, crisis response)
- Experience in strategy development and implementation with a school or child/youth- serving environment
- Strong knowledge of evidence-informed practice, implementation science, and knowledge mobilization
- Proven leadership in facilitating adult learning and professional development
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Commitment to Catholic education and the Board's mission and values
