Job Description: The primary purpose of this position is to provide case management services that promote, preserve and restore the mental health of people who have a long term psychiatric disability through leadership, care and service. The Community Mental Health Nurse is a member of a team which delivers services in the rehabilitation program. This person is accountable to SHA policies and guidelines, accepted standards of nursing practice and professional ethics and the Mental Health Services Act.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

  • Five (5) years experience in Mental Health

Education

  • Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable
  • Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)

Other Information

  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
  • Registered/eligible with College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of SK - CRPNS
