Job Description: Under the general direction of the Primary Health Care Manager, and as part of the multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) (RN(NP)) is responsible for the provision of primary health care services to individuals, communities, Long Term Care facilities and specific client groups in Foam Lake and Theodore. This is in accordance with evidence based knowledge and advanced nursing practice. This role includes clinical practice, consultation and collaboration with other health care professionals, education, leadership, research, and development of quality improvement initiatives.

Experience 3 years experience as an RN in primary care, public health or acute care One (1) year experience with community development/health promotion activities Five (5) years nursing experience Two (2) years advanced RN (NP) in applicable area Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license Other Education and Training Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Competencies Advanced - Facilitation skills Advanced - Organizational skills Advanced - Assessment skills Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge in health status of population and inequities in health Ability to work independently Ability to adapt to changing conditions Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Knowledge in health determinants and primary care principles Knowledge in disease and injury prevention, health protection and harm reduction Ability to provide holistic care to individuals,families & the community Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development Demonstrates ability in verbal and non-verbal communication techniques Ability to take initiative Demonstrates clinical/health assessment, diagnostic, pharmacotherapeutic Demonstrates educational skills & strategies produce positive healthy outcomes Therapeutic intervention skills working relevant to practice of the RN(NP) role Other Information For more information on the town of Foam Lake please visit https://foamlake.com/ Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) Travel within the region and provincially Provincial posting open to SUN members – SUN/SAHO CBA Articles 27.02 and 27.05 Registered/eligible for registration with the CRNS as RN (NP) 1st preference given to staff of fSunrise HR employees and its affiliates Foam Lake is located approximately 92 km west of Yorkton
