We support newcomers, racialized individuals, and diverse community members through storytelling, free skill-sharing, community engagement, and leadership opportunities.

About the Gathering
X Helping Hands is inviting community members to participate in an upcoming, “The Healing Circle: Reconnect with Land, Self, and the Community.”
This event will provide a welcoming and inclusive space for individuals to come together, share experiences, build connections, and engage in meaningful conversations around healing, community, belonging, and personal growth.
Participants will have the opportunity to connect with community members, students, professionals, researchers, and guests from universities across Nova Scotia and beyond.
Whether you are looking to meet new people, share your perspective, learn from others, or simply be part of a supportive community space, we welcome you.
What You’ll Gain
By participating, you will have the opportunity to:
✨ Connect and network with individuals from diverse backgrounds ✨ Enjoy free complimentary food and refreshments- including free lunch, snacks, and full reception dinner, during the gathering ✨ Engage in meaningful conversations with community members, students, professionals, and community leaders ✨ Meet guests and panel participants from universities and different sectora across Nova Scotia and beyond ✨ Learn from different perspectives, stories, and lived experiences ✨ Build relationships within a growing community network ✨ Learn more about X Helping Hands’ initiatives and future opportunities to get involved ✨ Explore opportunities to contribute to community storytelling projects, including upcoming podcast conversations
Who Can Participate?
We are looking for community members 18 years and older who are interested in connection, storytelling, and building stronger communities.
We welcome participants from all backgrounds and experiences, including:
- High school students (18+), college students, and university students
- Newcomers, immigrants, and international students
- BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) community members
- Racialized individuals and members of diverse communities
- Young professionals and community leaders
- Individuals interested in storytelling, inclusion, and community building
- Anyone who wants to meet new people and be part of a meaningful conversation
No previous experience is required. Whether you want to share your perspective, learn from others, or simply be part of a welcoming space, we invite you to join us.
