About the role
Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Massage Therapist to join Primo Healing Centre. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional therapeutic massage services to promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being for our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology, along with excellent patient service skills. Prior experience in medical settings or occupational health environments is highly valued. The Massage Therapist will play a vital role in enhancing client health through personalized treatment plans and professional care.
Responsibilities
- Perform various massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and identify areas of concern
- Provide pain management solutions through targeted massage therapy sessions
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend exercises or stretches as needed
- Maintain detailed records of treatments, client progress, and session notes with accuracy and confidentiality
- Ensure a clean, safe, and relaxing environment for clients at all times
- Uphold professional standards of customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere and addressing client questions or concerns
Qualifications
- Valid massage therapy license or certification in accordance with Alberta Provincial regulations and City of Calgary Massage License, and have a current or complete a police background check and have Valid Liability Insurance.
- Proven experience in patient service, patient assessment, and medical spa environments preferred
- Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of professionalism and confidentiality
- Knowledge of occupational health practices is a plus
- Prior experience in massage settings or similar healthcare environments is desirable
