About the Role Join eHealth Saskatchewan's Referral Management Services (RMS) team and help make it easier for patients to access the care they need. As a Business Analyst, you'll work with healthcare providers, stakeholders, and technical teams to enhance and evolve Saskatchewan's referral management systems. This role goes beyond maintaining existing solutions—you'll help identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and continuous improvement that can reduce administrative burden, streamline referral processes, and improve the experience for both healthcare providers and patients. This is a term opportunity ending March 31, 2028. What You’ll Do Reporting to the Manager, Referral Services Operations, you will: Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, and system needs. Partner with healthcare stakeholders, end users, and vendors to understand challenges and identify opportunities for improvement. Support system enhancements, new functionality, and automation initiatives that improve referral processes and user experiences. Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution documentation. Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver enhancements and continuous improvements. Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and stakeholder engagement activities. Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency while ensuring privacy, security, and governance requirements are met. Support change management and the successful adoption of new solutions and enhancements. What You’ll Bring to the Team • A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related area of study. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered • 3 years of experience working as a Business Analyst or similar in an integrated support environment. • Experience with database analysis, requirements analysis, and solution design techniques. • Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills. • Proven documentation skills including the ability to make proposals, business requirements, test plans, and schedules. • Knowledge of IT Service Management and Change Management concepts. • IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation and/or a PMP certification is considered an asset. Competencies Communication: Ability to clearly and accurately explain technical information verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences. Leadership: Ability to support project planning and implementation while managing changing priorities and resources. Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex business challenges, identify root causes, evaluate options, and develop practical solutions that align with business objectives and organizational priorities. Interpersonal: Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders, project teams, and leadership to support successful solution delivery. Teamwork/Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Organizational: Ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize competing activities, manage stakeholder expectations, and consistently deliver high-quality work within established timelines. Analytical: Ability to gather, interpret, synthesize business, technical and operational information to support decision-making, process improvement and solution development. Technical: Ability to analyze integrated health systems, interfaces, and data flows.
