Education: Bachelor's degree. Rehabilitation assistant. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Rehabilitation centre and special health institution. Tasks: Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Help physical therapists. Clean and maintain equipment. Plan physiotherapy programs. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods.
