Your Opportunity:

The CDU is a twelve-bed inpatient unit intended to support patients with concurrent mental health and substance use disorders. The team will provide evidence-based stabilization and recovery-oriented care for adults requiring medical withdrawal management and acute psychiatric stabilization. This will include both voluntary and involuntary patients. The MHT will provide comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health care to patients. The MHT is primarily responsible for direct clinical service in the area(s) of screening, assessment, and treatment of individuals with complex addiction and mental health needs, and/or concurrent disorders. Treatment is provided using group and individual psychotherapy. Utilizing evidence-based practice, the MHT will provide inpatient-based assessment, service planning, crisis management, consultation and referral, and psychotherapy support. Group facilitation skills and concurrent capability are requirements for this position. The MHT works closely with the interdisciplinary team and collaborates with other health and social service providers in treatment planning and transitioning of the patient into the community. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic environment, a commitment to continuous learning, and strong self-motivation while prioritizing self-care. You will bring creativity and innovation to therapeutic approaches, maintain a culturally competent and equity-informed practice, and uphold ethical conduct and professionalism in all interactions.
