About the role

Job Overview This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and have experience supporting individuals with communication, behavioral, sensory, and social challenges in a pediatric setting.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist and collaborate closely with ABA therapists, occupational therapists, and families to help children build communication and functional language skills in a fun, supportive, and engaging environment.

  • Implement individualized speech and language programs developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Support children with:
  • Expressive and receptive language
  • Articulation and speech clarity
  • Social communication skills
  • AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) systems
  • Play-based communication goals
  • Conduct therapy sessions in a 1:1
  • Collect data and maintain accurate session notes and progress records
  • Prepare therapy materials and activities tailored to each child?s goals
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support overall child development
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with parents/caregivers
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and positive therapy environment
  • Follow clinic policies, confidentiality standards, and professional ethics

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in:
  • Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA)
  • Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
  • Communication Disorders Assistant program
  • Related field with relevant pediatric experience
  • Experience working with children with:
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Developmental delays
  • Communication disorders
  • Behavioral or sensory needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

Preferred

  • Experience in pediatric clinics, schools, ABA centers, or therapy settings
  • Familiarity with AAC devices and visual communication systems
  • Knowledge of play-based and child-led intervention strategies
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Experience supporting children with high behavioral or sensory needs
  • Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA)
  • Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
  • Communication Disorders Assistant program
  • Related field with relevant pediatric experience
  • Experience working with children with:
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Developmental delays
  • Communication disorders

Pay: $18.34-$61.53 per hour
