Janzen's Pharmacy - The Link on Lillie St. is looking for a full-time Pharmacy Cashier/Clerk to join our team in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on the candidate's experience. Patient Focused Care Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service in a courteous, knowledgeable, and professional manner. Support pharmacy operations by ensuring excellence in customer service. Package prescriptions accurately for customer pick-up and delivery. Identify opportunities to promote professional clinical services to customers. Schedule patients for professional clinical services as appropriate. Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of pharmacy operations while maintaining a positive customer experience. Responsible for coordinating over 200 daily deliveries and medication pick-ups, and handling pharmacy and front-store cash transactions. Other Responsibilities: Must work under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist at all times. Receive written prescriptions from customers. Package medications for pick-up or delivery according to established procedures. Process payments, including credit card and delivery account transactions. Ensure prescriptions are accurately bagged for the correct patient. Contact customers regarding unclaimed prescriptions. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment. Monitor and replenish pharmacy supplies as needed. Answer pharmacy phone calls and direct prescription-related inquiries to a pharmacist. Refer all physician calls, prescription inquiries, drug information requests, and poison-related questions to a pharmacist. Assist with third-party billing processes. Support inventory control and stock management. Receive, check, and put away pharmaceutical orders. Maintain pamphlet and consumer information inventory. Stock and maintain designated OTC/non-prescription sections. Support pharmacy operations by ensuring excellence in customer service. Package prescriptions accurately for customer pick-up and delivery. Identify opportunities to promote professional clinical services to customers. Schedule patients for professional clinical services as appropriate. Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of pharmacy operations while maintaining a positive customer experience. This role requires exceptional organization, multitasking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Staff Pharmacists. Qualifications: Preference will be given to those who have retail Pharmacy or cashier experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment Demonstrates a professional demeanour and communicates effectively with customers and team members. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Schedule: 40 hours per week (Full-time) The store is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Candidates must have flexible availability to work weekdays and alternating weekends as required to support business operations.
