The Health Specialist provides administrative support in the Health area to staff in 0-5 Early Childhood programs. Monitors documentation of children’s health data and enters information in the data management system. Schedules health services for the children at the centers. The Health Specialist reports to the Director - Health, Wellness and Diverse Learners.

Candidate Qualifications

Associate’s degree Health Services, Social Services or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Demonstrated experience with database management required; experience maintaining health data a plus Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and daily access to reliable transportation required. Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish preferred.

Job Responsibilities

Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and daily access to reliable transportation required. Schedules hearing, vision, and oral health screenings for children throughout the year. Creates the schedule of annual health screenings and updates screening dates as needed. Enters health data in the data management system for clients served, including physical exams, well baby check reports, hearing and vision screenings, immunizations, and oral health exams. Completes monthly reports of services provided and scheduled for the sites. Reports to the Family Support Services Supervisor regarding missing health documentation on a monthly basis or as needed. Works in collaboration with the nurse and nutrition consultants to schedule regular monitoring of children’s files

Compensation: Hourly: Range is between $20.00 - $22.00/hour, offers are commensurate with experience. Bilingual candidates may receive additional financial compensation. The salary range provided represents our current estimate for this role at the time of posting and is subject to change. The final salary will be determined based on a range of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's relevant experience, education, qualifications, skills, certifications, and alignment with organizational needs.
