Overview Kayla’s Children Centre is a not-for profit organization providing educational, therapeutic, recreational, and respite services for children with diverse abilities within a rich, Jewish cultural setting. As an ABA therapist, you have the opportunity to work within an interdisciplinary team of teachers and therapists in providing a unique educational and therapeutic intervention. Roles & Responsibilities Student Support: Working directly with students, 1:1 and in small groups Prepare for ABA sessions and write session notes and update graphs as needed Maintain client binders and materials Classroom Support: Implement reinforcement systems in the classroom Implement proactive strategies in the classroom Implement individual goals throughout the day (as directed by teacher, RBA) Collect and graph data Behaviour Support: Implement supervised behaviour plans in the classroom Implements proactive behaviour management strategies Communication & Collaboration Meet regularly with RBA Collaborate with interdisciplinary team Communicates well with school leadership team Professionalism & Work Habits Attend training sessions, workshops and continuing professional development Uphold centre’s policies and procedures Ability to work independently and take initiative Positive attitude and professional demeanor Maintains confidentiality Works well with the team Loves working with kids!
