About the role

About Mindful Connections Therapy Mindful Connections Therapy is a small, growing relational private practice in North York, Toronto (Leslie & Sheppard), offering in-person and virtual therapy across Ontario. As a newer practice, we are building our team deliberately: we are looking for clinicians who want to grow alongside the practice, build their clinical presence, and help shape a collaborative team culture from the beginning. Our work is rooted first and foremost in a relational, emotionally attuned, and person-centred approach to therapy. We value authentic therapeutic connection and believe that feeling deeply understood can create meaningful change. Our practice is trauma-informed, attachment-based, and somatically aware, with a clinical focus on trauma, ADHD, MVA recovery, and brain injury. We value collaborative, client-centred care that honours each person's pace, nervous system, and lived experience.

Role Overview Provide psychotherapy to clients navigating trauma, ADHD, motor vehicle accident (MVA) recovery, brain injury, and related concerns such as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, and relationship difficulties. Work with individuals, couples, adolescents, families, children, and seniors depending on your clinical interests and experience. Draw from modalities such as CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, EFT, somatic, and attachment-based approaches depending on client needs and your training. Provide community-based sessions (home or community visits) for brain injury, MVA recovery, and senior clients across North York and the GTA when there is client need. Community work is not a regular or immediate part of the schedule, but willingness to take these sessions on when the need arises is a requirement of the role. Develop trauma-informed, individualized treatment plans that honour each client's pace, nervous system, and lived experience. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with CRPO or OCSWSSW standards and PHIPA requirements. Communicate with families, insurers, and referring professionals as clinically appropriate. Manage your own schedule and caseload with flexibility and autonomy. This is a hybrid contractor position combining in-person office work, occasional community-based sessions, and virtual therapy. Clinicians must be available to provide in-person therapy at our North York office (Leslie & Sheppard), with a minimum commitment of one dedicated in-person day per week (or two half days).

Qualifications Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in good standing with CRPO, or Registered Social Worker in good standing with OCSWSSW. RP (Qualifying) applicants must have independent clinical supervision in place. EMDR training, or a genuine interest in beginning EMDR training right away, is central to this role. EMDR is a core modality of the practice, and our annual professional development reimbursement can be put toward it. Experience with trauma, ADHD, MVA recovery, brain injury, and/or older adults. Individual, couples, family, children, adolescent, and seniors experience all welcome. Willing to provide community-based sessions across North York and the GTA when client need arises. This may not be right away or often, but clinicians in this role need to be genuinely open to it, with reliable transportation to reach clients when it happens. IFS training is also a strong asset. Trauma-informed, attachment-aware, and somatic-sensitive approach to care. Comfortable working independently in a small, warm, growing practice environment where the team is close and clinicians help shape how things develop. Reliable, ethical, and genuinely invested in your clients' growth.

What We Offer Annual professional development reimbursement, which can be put toward EMDR basic training, IFS Level 1 or 2, or other approved training. Flexible contract arrangement. Work the hours that fit your life. Intake coordination and administrative support so you can focus on clinical work. Jane App for booking, scheduling, and client management. Secure practice email for professional client communication. Optional AI-assisted documentation support to help reduce administrative burden. Marketing support to help you build your caseload. A practice culture that genuinely values therapists' well-being and sustainable caseloads. A meaningful clinical niche in MVA, brain injury, trauma, ADHD, and work with older adults.

How to Apply If this sounds like the right fit, we would love to hear from you. Please send your resume and a brief note about your clinical background, your EMDR training or interest in pursuing it, and your general availability to contact@mindfulconnectionstherapy.ca.
