About the role:
The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)
is the provision of care that is respectful of, and responsive to individual patient/family preferences, needs, and values
and ensures that those values guide all decisions. Creating a caring environment for patients and families ensures
continuity of care and fosters a learning environment. Applicants are required to have a demonstrated knowledge,
understanding and commitment to this care philosophy.
Reporting to the Director, Surgery and Ambulatory Services, the Manager, Ambulatory Services will be responsible for the leadership and management of the following outpatient departments: Ambulatory Care, Fracture Clinic and Rehabilitation Services. The incumbent will be responsible and accountable for clinical practice and the development of systems that ensure quality outcomes in these outpatient areas.
Qualifications:
* The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player with clinical expertise in ambulatory services
* Previous management experience
* The incumbent will have a commitment to evidence‑based practice and a facilitative leadership style.
* Demonstrated communication, decision‑making and planning skills are essential.
* The ideal candidate will possess a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (Masters preparation preferred).
* The incumbent will have a commitment to evidence‑based practice and a facilitative leadership style.
* Proven ability to deal effectively with patients, physicians, nurses and clerical teams.
* Highly motivated team player, is focused on results, quality, and service and can prioritize in a fast paced
environment.
* Excellent communication, problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and ability to work with a
diverse group of leaders and stakeholders with success in moving key stakeholders to positive resolution.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, directing, program evaluation, quality assurance and project
management skills.
* Ability to coordinate strategies to engage and focus a team in process improvement.
* Proficiency in operating computer programs.
* Knowledge and experience with hospital strategic and operational planning and budgeting processes.
Salary Range: $61.660 to 77.080
