Job Requirements

Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators preferred

Montessori certification (MACTE, AMI, or equivalent) considered a strong asset, but not necessary

Experience working with infants, toddlers, preschool-aged children, or within a Montessori environment is an asset

A genuine passion for supporting children's growth and development

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a positive, team-oriented environment

Valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check

Current Standard First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain before employment)

Current immunization record

Reliable, professional, flexible, and committed to providing high-quality early learning experiences

Job Description

Oakleigh Montessori is seeking a passionate Montessori Educator/Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year.

This is a full-time, year-round position in a warm, collaborative Montessori environment where educators are supported and valued. Our classrooms are intentionally small and thoughtfully prepared, allowing educators to build meaningful relationships with children while fostering independence, curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.

Responsibilities Include

Supporting the daily operation and rhythm of the classroom

Preparing and maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment

Guiding children through classroom routines, activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions

Observing and responding to each child's individual developmental needs

Building positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues

Working collaboratively as part of a supportive team

Following all Oakleigh Montessori policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety procedures

Depending on qualifications and experience, the successful candidate may also assume supervisory responsibilities

Orientation and classroom preparation will take place in August prior to the September 2026 start date.
