The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is launching an innovative Veterinary Clinic in Renfrew County — and we’re looking for a passionate Veterinarian to help lead it.
This is more than a traditional clinic role. It’s an opportunity to help build a new model of accessible veterinary care for underserved rural communities while directly improving the lives of animals and the people who love them.
Working from a mobile veterinary unit connected to the Renfrew County Animal Centre, you’ll play a key role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care while helping shape a progressive and purpose-driven program from the ground up.
If you thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy meaningful community connection, and want your work to create measurable impact, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
As the clinical lead within the mobile veterinary program, you will provide care for both Ontario SPCA animals and community-owned pets through a mix of wellness medicine, surgery, urgent care support, and end of life services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide wellness exams, preventive care, vaccinations, and treatment plans
- Perform routine spay/neuter surgeries and minor surgical procedures
- Deliver compassionate euthanasia services
- Support urgent care stabilization within the scope of the mobile clinic
- Work closely with the RVT/Clinic Supervisor and Animal Centre team
- Help develop workflows, protocols, and clinical standards for the program
- Maintain accurate medical records and support compliance with CVO standards
- Contribute to a positive, supportive, mission-driven team culture
