DutiesProvide administrative and clinical leadership to multidisciplinary teamsCreate an environment of continuous learning; engaging staff, patient and families in continuous improvementFacilitate the delivery of safe, high quality, patient-centred care to patientsFoster an environment that is collaborative, inter professional and accountable, partnering with patients and caregiversCoordinate and be accountable for the day-to-day utilization of resources to achieve the service's goalsFacilitate seamless transitions between inpatient, outpatient and the community, spanning the entire health care continuumOversee and develop innovative services, e.g. new models of care, continuous process and quality improvementFiscal planning and accountabilityFoster an environment that facilitates education and researchProvide leadership for operating initiatives, program goals and objectives to meet strategic directions in partnership with the Clinical and Medical Directors of the programs.QualificationsA Baccalaureate degree in a regulated health profession (e.g. physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing) requiredCompletion of a recognized Master’s Degree in a related field requiredMembership/certification from an RHPA College in Ontario requiredMinimum of three (3) years’ experience as a clinical manager is preferredGreater than five (5) years of relevant experience in a clinical practice capacity preferredExperience with inpatient, outpatient, and community based programs and services is an assetProven change management skills combined with the ability to work with and through othersStrong leadership and motivational skillsWorking knowledge of labour/management practicesExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with effective negotiation skillsExcellent critical thinking and solution-focused skillsAbility to work effectively, demonstrate composure under pressure/stressful conditionsExcellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Outlook applicationsAdditional InformationWhy join UHN?In addition to working alongside some of the most talented and inspiring healthcare professionals in the world, UHN offers a wide range of benefits, programs and perks.
