Salary Details The salary range for this position is CAD $35.37/Hr. - CAD $50.85/Hr. Job Summary Come work as a Rural Programs’ Liaison with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)! Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Rural Programs’ Liaison to join the Medical Affairs Administration team. Apply today to join our team! As a Rural Programs’ Liaison with Vancouver Coastal Health you will: Provide regional management and administers the rural programs through engagement and consultation with rural physicians and medical leaders. Build relationships, increase communications, and identify opportunities for community support and planning for the rural programs’ portfolio. Work in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and RCCbc, with accountability to the health authority and the Joint Standing Committee on Rural Issues (JSC). Represent Vancouver Coastal Health, with a co-reporting structure to the Leader, Medical Affairs, Coastal Community of Care, Vancouver Coastal Health, and to the Provincial Manager, RCME Community Program, RCCbc. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in a health or business-related discipline. Three (3) to five (5) years of recent, related experience including working with physicians, health care providers and staff or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Previous experience working with rural programs an asset. Knowledge & Abilities Ability to support change management and develop relationships with rural physicians and key stakeholders. Ability to see the big picture and bring others on board with ideas and actions. Knowledge of project management, problem solving and budgeting. Community consultation skills. Ability to apply judgement in setting priorities, identifying issues, and determining required action while working under pressure and deadlines. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to perform multiple tasks, balance priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability and willingness to travel. Physical ability to perform the duties of the position. Closing Statement As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks. For all new hires and appointments to Vancouver Coastal Health, you will be asked to provide this information as part of the onboarding process.
