ABOUT THE TEAM The School of Indigenous Education delivers a comprehensive range of academic, pathway, and transition programs designed to support learners in achieving their educational and career goals. WHAT YOU WILL DO As an instructor within the Indigenous Education, your responsibilities would include classroom instruction, supervision and guidance of students, student evaluation, advising of students, maintenance of student records and other professional duties related to instruction. Examples of subject areas are foundational and specialized courses such as science, math, dosage calculations in a health context, employability skills, and career development.. The incumbent is also required to participate in department and College committees and assist in student orientation and graduation activities.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING Post secondary certificate (or relevant designation) relating to Business, Human Resources, Social Sciences, Education or Indigenous Studies. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered Teaching experience related to science, math, employability skills/career development, and/or professional development topics Experience, knowledge, and competency with Indigenous cultures, history and community protocols and incorporating into a learning environment Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes Teaching experience demonstrating a collaborative, supportive, and student-centered approach Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated leadership skills Strong presentation skills Ability to teach on campus and remotely Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

NICE TO HAVE Experience developing curriculum and instructing at a post-secondary level Certificate in Teaching for Learning or Adult Education Experience developing and instructing distance-delivered courses including online Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver blended (synchronous and asynchronous) instruction Ability to integrate AI tools and technologies into curriculum delivery and assessment, fostering digital literacy among students

Salary Range for this position: $67,069 - $105,146 per annum Generous Paid Vacation: full-time employees accumulate a minimum of 15-days vacation per year, increasing to 30 days with service, while full-time Instructors accumulate 44 days per year. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE) May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
